PCSX2 performance on my MacBook Pro
Remember my old post about how I wanted to try PS2 emulation on my MacBook Pro? Well I've gotten a hold of Kingdom Hearts and can now safely say that both the game and the emulator, rock. Forget what I said last time about the weaker plugin working better than the better plugin, mostly because the better plugin doesn't crash. Yes I'd read about that before but I knew I should have been getting better performance in the BIOS then I was.So how does it fare? Well Kingdom Hearts has been optimised for 60fps and my computer averages about 40fps. No problem, just flick frame skip and play. Now you might be saying "But doesn't it stutter?", well it does but were're talking about a guy who used to play a demo of Jedi Knight II on a 500MHz iMac G3 and Jedi Academy on a 2002 Compaq business laptop. I can handle stutter.
So reploidof20xx, if you read this before I see you on Tuesday, here's what I'm up to. I'm currently in Traverse Town about to go find Leon because of these Gummi pieces we've been finding. So that means I've fought Cloud, the Cerberus, and Clayton. I've also learnt that Scan ability which, as you said, is really awesome.
